About

My Journey

I was born in, 1983 in Montreal and for as long as I can remember I have loved art. From drawing, painting, gouache and modeling clay in elementary school to photography, cinema and journalism in high school. Let's say it came to no surprise when I decided to study Arts and Letters, with an emphasis on cinema and communication after high school. Unfortunately I quickly realized that this particular program was not for me. I did not lose hope and decided to continue my studies in graphics instead and I loved it! Not only did I make amazing friends but I got plenty of opportunities to develop my artistic side. Once I had completed the graphics program, I started a Bachelor's Degree in Art History at Université du Québec à Montréal. It turned out that it was not for me and I gave up after completing only one semester. Despite having given up my studies my life was about to take a new turn. A friend showed me how to make jewellery with glass beads and hemp thread and I was hooked...I had no idea how far it would take me.

For a while I worked at a jeweller's repairing watches and various pieces of jewellery. I loved it and continued making my own jewellery and exploring different techniques on my own time. It was during that time that I learned of L'École de Joaillerie de Montréal. I wasted no time registering and studied there for three years. After getting my diploma I shared a workshop at Chat des Artistes with three old classmates. In December 2009 I got the opportunity to present my first collection at Le Salon de Métiers d'Art de Montréal.
Some of my pieces can be found in many Québec boutiques since March 2011. I have also taken part in various local craft shows in L'Assomption during Christmas time and in Laval for what we call La Semaine des Artisans.
I started working from home in 2011 after learning I was going to be a mother. Since making that life changing decision I have had a second child and have never looked back. I happily work from home surrounded by my wonderful family.
